About Us
Resolute was founded in 2012 by Alex Scaramangas and later joined by Nikos Pappas—two naval architects and veterans in ship repair yard marketing and sales. Together, they bring more than seven decades of combined experience in the industry.
The younger generation of the company is represented by Andreas Scaramangas and Dimitris Svoronos, who are responsible for business development and continue to drive the company’s growth and renewal.
Our Mission
From the outset, our mission has been clear and straightforward:
to offer first-class international principals a trusted and reliable platform serving the Greek maritime community to the highest professional standards.
This mission remains as relevant today as when the company was founded.
Our Commitment to the Environment
The management of Resolute is committed to ensuring that the company’s activities are conducted with respect for the environment and in compliance with all relevant national and international legislation.
Environmental protection and sustainability are integral to our corporate values and are pursued on an equal basis with our Quality Assurance (QA) objectives, through the implementation of our Environmental Management System (EMS).
Our Environmental Policy is aligned with the requirements and expectations of our employees, customers, partners, and all relevant interested parties.
Environmental Principles and Objectives
The implementation of our Environmental Policy involves the active participation of both management and employees, whose responsibilities and safeguards are clearly defined in accordance with applicable legislation.
We ensure that all employees are instructed, guided, and supervised to perform their work responsibly and in line with the company’s environmental standards.
Our environmental objectives are to:
• Integrate environmental responsibility and stewardship into our core business strategy to ensure sustainable continuity.
• Achieve 100% recycling of waste materials wherever possible.
• Reduce energy and natural resource consumption.
