OCEAN

Mykolaiv, Ukraine
OCEAN Shipyard was founded in 1951 as a ship building facility and is located in the southern part of the city of Nikolaev on the left bank of the Yuzhny Bug river, with open access to the Black Sea. The ship repair division (established in January 2002) executes the full range of repair works for all types of vessels and floating structures. The yard occupies a land area of 100 hectares and a water area of 42 hectares, has a VLCC size graving dock (which can be divided lengthwise into two adjustable sections by an intermediate gate) and a Handy size floating dock, an enclosed hall slipway connected to the floating dock by a rail transport system (ideal for yacht repairs), extensively equipped workshops and a quay which allows also transshipment operations of general and dry bulk cargoes up to 100.000 tons per month with storage facilities. Since the beginning of its operation, the yard was developed and reconstructed, new production facilities were put into operation, state-of-the-art equipment and technologies were implemented. Under new private ownership since December 2018, which is committed to a major investment plan, OCEAN Shipyard is looking to re-establish itself as a major player in the East Med/Black Sea region.
